Friends, today I am going to talk about Sachin of Indian cricket, Mithali Raj, the captain of Team India, Mithali Raj's full name is Mithali Dorai Raj, who has many wonderful records in today's time, yes this is a different thing. It is said that Indian media has never lost its attention from the men's team to the women's team, so perhaps we do not even know much about women's cricket. Friends Mithali is the captain of Team India for almost 15 years. She is the second female player in the world to have crossed the 5500-run mark in ODI cricket. Apart from this, she is the world's first player to score half-century in a row 7 times.

Mithali Raj's Personal Life

Friends Mithali was born in a Tamil family in Jodhpur, Rajasthan on 3 December 1982, so she started doing classical dance as a child and by the age of 10 she became an expert in Bharatanatyam and later on. I started thinking of making a career, but Mithali was very lazy since childhood, so her father started training cricket with dance to make her active.

Choose between Cricket & Dance

But later on it was becoming very difficult to concentrate in both dance and cricket, so his dance teacher asked him to move in one, and then Mithali opted for cricket. Mithali's coach Sampat Kumar also tried hard to push him forward. Whether it was summer or rainy, Mithali had to go daily for practice. His parents also encouraged him completely, and helped in every way.

Selection in Indian Women's Cricket Team at the Age of 17

Soon, Mithali's talent emerged and in just 17 years she was selected in the Indian women's cricket team. In 1999, Mithali started in a one-day international career, and in his debut match, he scored an innings of 114 runs against Ireland. In January 2002, she made her Test debut against England but unfortunately she was dismissed for 0. However, making a tremendous comeback in the third Test, he played an enlightened innings of 214 runs, breaking the record of 209 runs by Austrian Karan Rontell to score a magnificent 214, and set a new record.

Handing over the Captaincy of Indian Women's Cricket Team

Seeing her great performance later, she was handed the captaincy of the women's team and then led her team to the final in the 2005 World Cup, but due to typhoid she could not play the final match, which led her team to a defeat. On 5 August 2006, Mithali also made his T20 debut against England. In February 2017, she became the second player to score more than 5500 runs. So far, Mithali has played 10 Tests, 197 ODIs and 84 T20s, and she also performs leg break bowling in addition to right hand batting.

Mithali Raj to be Honored with Arjuna Award and Padam Shri

22-year-old Mithali Raj was honored with the Arjuna Award for 2003 achievements and in 2015 she was also awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award. If we talk about personal life, Mithali has not married yet. She told in an interview that she wants to focus on cricket right now.

To give Love and Respect to Women Cricketers

Friends, while the achievements of male cricketers in our country are very well described, the discussion of the achievements of Indian women cricketers remains under control. In the end, I just want to say that the women players of our country are not less than anyone, they are capable of doing anything if they get love and respect like male cricketers.
